Birthday and Place

Elvis Aaron Presley was born in Tupelo , Mississippi on the day of January 8, 1935.. He was born a twin but his brother Jesse Garon died at birth.

Family

Elvis lived with his mother and father Gladys Love Presley born on April 25, 1912 and Vernon Elvis Presley born April 10, 1916. He also had a brother  Jesse Garon Presley but he died at birth so Elvis grew up with out a sibling.

Childhood and school life

Elvis was the center of his parents life and whatever they could afford to give their only son they would. They were poor growing up in the Depression but he never complained; he was actually very protected and his mother wouldn't barely let him go down to the creek if he wasn't in plain eye site. We this is thought to be because his brother died and passed away so easily that she didn't want to lose her last son so she was over protective. On October 3rd, 1943 Elvis had is first performance at the Mississippi- Alabama Fair and Dairy show he sang the song "Old Shep" and placed 5th but it didn't bother him because he got 5 dollars worth of fair tickets. For Elvis's 11 birthday he wanted a bicycle but his parents couldn't afford it so instead Gladys bought him a guitar he accepted it and that was the start of the his music career. Since Elvis was a shy kid he wasn't popularly known until he had performed in a talent show at his high school. Everyone enjoyed his music and more people clapped and cheered for him than he thought would he did so well that he encored After that was when he started to get know the girls started chasing after him and he started the fire to his fame and glory.

Hobbies interests and activities

Loved to just sing and play his guitar, dance, make fans happy, drive his Cadillac and motorcycles and perform in front of thousands of people doing what he was growing up to do being a musician.

Career

Elvis was a musician and the best one of his time. He had won hearts all over the world with his singing voice and his dashingly handsome good looks. He also was an actor in a lot for different movies

Anecdote

When Elvis was born he had a twin brother named Jesse but he died at birth so Elvis became a very sheltered child growing up with his parents because they had already lost one and they defiantly didn't want to lose there only one they had left. So growing up sheltered had a big effect on him because when he became famous Elvis lived his life to the fullest and everything he did (with the exception of going to war) everyone liked. His fans loved him and how when he did everything it was a big deal like when he gave out his Cadillac's generously to his fans. Probably the reason why he did everything was because he knew life could be cut at anytime and that he life wasn't always going to be there that he had to live it up the best way he knew how. He learned that life is to short not to live it the way he wanted to so he lived it with passion.

Reason for Fame

Elvis was famous because had created a new for of music that revolutionized  that music industry which was called "Rock and Roll". Rock and Roll was a mix of all the music that Elvis had listen to when he was a boy and but them all together that consist of gospel, country, jazz, and blues. He also made films such as "Flaming Star", " Jailhouse Rock" and many more.  

Later/ old age 

Elvis lived to be kind of old he live to be 42 so that's really just middle age but never the less, later in his life Elvis got married to Pracilla Beaulieu May 1, 1967. They had a child Lisa Marie Presley February 1, 1968. In the later age of his life Elvis started a come back from having a family then divorcing and getting back onto his feet. Elvis would perform in Las Vegas a lot for a while until he started touring during "the come back" he roamed around doing interviews and meeting more famous people actually living a life and having fun. That's also when he got into the one peace jumpsuits that he wore at every performance a different one for every show and he started to get a little chubby. It was almost as if Elvis was setting up to live life as much as he could until death took him.

Death

Elvis died on August 19, 1977 he was on the floor of his bathroom, rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead , he lived to be 42. The cause of death was a cardiac arrhythmia which is fancy for saying his heart had been beating irregularly until it finally stopped. The doctor said that the cause of his heart beating irregularly was probably caused of an overdose on prescription drugs. Many people wept when they had heard that Elvis had perished and people from all over traveled to his tomb to show their respects for the "King of Rock and Roll".
